DMCA Policy

StreamSnip LLC respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement committed using the StreamSnip platform.

1. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content available on or through the StreamSnip platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a written DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. Your notice must include the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered by a single notification, provide a representative list.
  2. Identification of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material on the Service (e.g., URL or description of where the content appears).
  3. Your contact information, including your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is acceptable as an electronic signature).

3. Processing of Notices

Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

If you believe your content was removed in error or that you have the right to use the material, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:

  1. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal.
  2. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  3. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or if outside the United States, any judicial district in which StreamSnip may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original takedown notice.
  4. Your physical or electronic signature.

Send counter-notifications to legal@streamsnip.io with the subject line "DMCA Counter-Notification."

Important: Please be aware that if you submit a counter-notification, we are required by law to provide a copy of it to the original complainant, including your name and contact information. The original complainant may use this information to file a lawsuit against you. If a court order is not filed by the complainant within 10-14 business days, we may restore the content.

In accordance with the DMCA, StreamSnip maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of copyright. If a user receives multiple valid DMCA takedown notices, their account may be suspended or permanently terminated.

Please be aware that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be subject to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.

StreamSnip handles all DMCA matters in good faith and strives to balance the rights of copyright holders with those of our users. We are not in a position to adjudicate copyright disputes and encourage parties to seek legal counsel when appropriate.
